ABOUT

I remember the day when my father, a professional cameraman and photographer, gave me my first camera. He was my first, the most patient, and my truly best teacher. This was a real film camera. It was a love story at once that has been going on since then. I have been cherishing my love to photography with endless possibilities of seeing the world through camera, the magic of the hours spent in a dark room, and the images of life I was lucky to witness and share with other people.

For some time, however, photography was just a hobby of mine. I tried myself in other occupations. Thus, I studied in the Leningrad Institute for Motion-picture Engineers (Russia) while working as a film editor at a TV station.  I graduated from Saint Petersburg Academy of Physical Culture (Russia) majoring in Sports Training and then getting experience in the gym and swimming pool as a coach for children and adults. After having moved to the USA I got a unique opportunity to give myself fully to creative photography. I tested the waters of various genres but what I enjoy the most is taking picture of children. They are always real. They are ever-changing. They grow too fast.  I am catching a moment from a child's life and let it live inside my picture, so that you could open your album when you feel like smiling at your memories.
